Who I am and Why I’m Running
I believe that all property values should be assessed as accurately as possible. I will build from the progress that the current Assessor’s office has made over the last six years, with an eye toward bringing in better technology, communication, and educated employees that are focused on our citizens.
Your property value impacts how much you pay in property taxes. You deserve to know that your property value is accurate. As your Assessor, I will ensure that the JeffCo Assessor’s office serves you with integrity, respect, and transparency.
When I’m elected, I will be a passionate civil servant who will ensure fairness and equitable property valuations across the County for all types of property, whether large or small, private, public, or corporate.
What I bring to the Office
I have the knowledge, leadership experience and passion to take on this role and hit the ground running!
Knowledge: As a Realtor for over 10 years, I clearly understand property valuation!
Buyers wonder, “Am I paying too much for this property?”
Sellers want to know, “Am I getting the best price for my property?”
Taxpayers want to know that their assessed property value is accurate and that they are not paying too much in taxes.
The skill of accurately assessing property values is a huge part of my knowledge base!
Leadership: Never afraid of challenge, I have taken on multiple leadership roles.
During the 2024 election, I managed over 100 volunteers!
As a High School social studies teacher, I:
taught up to 140 students per semester. My ability to lead and manage was proven daily!
developed an AP Psychology program
led a Peer Assistance & Leadership program
coached Cross Country & Track
sponsored a multicultural club
Leadership comes naturally to me!
Passion: As a lifelong civil servant, I have always had a heart for people! Roles that I have served in are:
youth counselor
adult crisis counselor
child care worker for mentally handicapped children
home support for the elderly
leader for Girl Scouts & Boy Scouts
This passion for serving people fuels my dedication to our community!
